RE: You lot got me working a 9 to 5.
"While you've been speculating about my future and whether to transform me into a sex symbol or a presenter for C Beebies, I've been holed up in the studio at all hours with a bloody ashtray for company. Getting kinda fed up of the hours I'm working on my album, (you never told me it was going to be this hard) so I've written a tune called '9 to 5' about it. If you could get some promo copies of it to my online press officer so she can send it out that would help. Don't forget to service TV and radio with the tune either, and I've got my mate Adam Smith to do the video.
About the tune anyway, I went on a bit of a ska meets salsa vibe, quite different to anything I've done before but you know I'm just doing my own thing. Dunno if you've heard the remixes yet, but got a couple done, roped in Tony Senghore who's laid down a few versions big enough to give the dance massive something to shout about. JME, Roll Deep's newest member, has covered the grime side of things and thrown in a few bars for good measure. Yes Productions have also added their two pence worth, I'm keeping those trendy peeps happy too ya see! Then there's also an almighty mix from The Ordinary Boys… Was thinking we should put this out on a limited edition 7" promo or something. I've also updated my website, www.ladysovereign.com.
