MJ Cole ft Digga - I Gotta Have It

Production legend, scene stealer and one time Mercury Music Prize nominee MJ Cole hooks up with Atlantic Records latest signing and one of the freshest vocal and song writing talents in the country, Digga, for what is set to be a huge radio and club smash - I Gotta Have It!

MJ Cole layers his distinctly piercing strings with Digga's soft but overtly masculine tones to weave a tale of unrequited love with a twist. Couple that with the infectious bassline provided by this production wizard and the pair are defiantly sitting on a potential hit!

At the age of 24 Matt Coleman better known as MJ Cole became one of the first artists to crossover from the burgeoning UK Garage scene to mainstream success. Grounded in a culture obsessed with authenticity, he was almost unique in simultaneously drawing praise from his lesser-known peers as easily as the critics (the album, Sincere was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize) and the record-buying masses (two top ten singles with Sincere and Crazy Love). The album was certified silver in the UK alone, and a MOBO award for Best Producer cemented Matt's reputation.

His list of remix credits are as star studded as any, from Mariah Carey, Roots Manuva, Dido, Nitin Sawhney, De La Soul and Lamb he's been one of the most sought after producers for the last ten years.

I Gotta Have It is the first single from the forthcoming as yet titled album and teams MJ up with a somewhat rising star this time - Digga. Recently signed to Atlantic Records, Digga was behind huge internet hit Broken and recently featured on the massive Chase and Status album More Than A Lot.

Along with the firing original version I Gotta Have It also features a further six remixes from the likes of Ill Blu, micky Slim, Penfold, Control S, Epydemix and MJ's very own Funky Dubb taking Digga's vocal in a number of inspired directions
