Oxide ft Spencer - You Know

DJ Oxide is back and is doing it for himself! After a run of bad luck the former So Solid member, half of garage double act Oxide and Neutrino and inspiring producer, introduces another classic UK anthem, You Know.

You Know offers something different from Oxide's last number 1 hit Bound for da Reload but forever pushing boundaries Oxide offers us a contemporary take on the British music scene, this time introducing vocals by new talent Daniel Spencer.

Inevitably Oxide's style has changed and his sound has matured with age. Despite the challenges he has faced, his label urban division going bankrupt and his personal studio setting on fire, Oxide has overcome these hurdles and set up his own record label Oxide Music Ltd. By investing in his own independence the DJ has ensured that he`s not only back, but back for good!

Artists Background

Oxide started on pirate radio in 1998 (Supreme FM in Brixton) where he met Neutrino and also joined the So Solid Crew. After teaming up with Neutrino he had a UK number 1 ( Bound 4 da reload) selling over 200,000 copies. He since went on to release 5 more top 10 singles & sold over 300,000 Albums. Oxide won a Mobo - (Best Video) and has also had 2 songs on soundtracks , (Shoot 2 Kill) on Ali G film & (Devils nightmare) in Lara Crofts - Tomb raider . Oxide has also produced tracks on the So Solid album - Lisa Maffia`s album and has also produced music for NBA live on Channel 5 & BAFTA award show (Skool of hard knocks).

Daniel Spencer writes and brings his soulful vocals to this track. Inspired by artists such as Robin Thicke and Boyz to Men, You Know is a different sound for the singer. "Though my sound is more jazz/soul/pop I couldn't turn down the chance to work with DJ Oxide, says Spencer, with You Know I feel we've brought a fresh sound to the current Garage scene."
