There's just no stopping this girl!! The brilliant album by Zero 7, 'The Garden' has been nominated for a Grammy this week. The album features Sia on vocals on 6 of the tracks and she has spent much of 2006 on tour with Zero 7 taking in UK, France, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, Slovakia, Austria, Czech Republic, Portugal, Belgium, USA.
The album has been short-listed within the 'Best Electronic / Dance Album' category and is up against the likes of Madonna, Oakenfold, Goldfrapp & Pet Shop Boys.
And it's not just her vocal talent that Sia is becoming renowned for! She has also directed videos for Zero 7 and for her own songs; the video for 'Breathe Me' is currently nominated for an mtvU Woodie Award.
The video for her current single 'Pictures' is also directed by Sia, the track is a taster for her next studio album which is currently working on and planned for release next year.
A demo from the current recording sessions entitled 'Little Black Sandals' was recently leaked online (with Sia's permission) via Popjustice and numerous mp3 blogs last week - tens of thousands people downloaded it immediately! Her myspace figures are also astonishing with over a million views, 55,000 friends and an average of 3000 plays a day.
