The 12" vinyls are available to purchase on Swiss label Mouthwatering Records and contain free codes to download extra bonus tracks.
Kingston Book features Jamaican artists Cutty Ranks and Sizzla, with remixes by Sterotyp and Markus Kienzl. The complete KB package features eight different versions of The Vibes and Sniper Sniper by Sizzla and Cutty Ranks respectively.
On the original version of The Vibes Sizzla and Talen create a mighty track with a playful beat. The Stereotyp version - aka producer Stefan Moerth - displays his classical production style using minimal sounds and a dominant beat. Stereotyp hails from Vienna.
Cutty Rank's Sniper Sniper however is a straight-forward Dubstep track that shoots from the hip. The dancehall 'don danna' - with his gruff voice - moves in total sync with the beat. This is like an electro attack from the future - a weapon of choice for any soundsystem.
Staying with Sniper Sniper, the Markus Kienzl (Sofa Surfers) version transforms the track into his own language of sound and texture, and - as he always does - easily manages to bridge dub and club. A terrific remix!
